Peter Fonseca is a devoted community leader with a proven record of community service. As a former Ontario Labour Minister and Chair of the Federal Finance Committee in Ottawa, Peter has shown his deep passion and determination to make life better for families in our community and the country.

As the Member of Parliament for Mississauga East-Cooksville, Peter understands what it takes to create good jobs, support the people, families and small businesses in the community and build a better future for everyone. Peter, his wife Christina and twin boys Sebastien and Alexander have deep roots in the community, where they are involved with many charitable, community, sports and business organizations.

Peter has seen firsthand the opportunities and challenges that middle class families face every day, and he understands the priorities of Mississauga East-Cooksville. That’s why he helped secure a 10% increase to Old Age Security and brought affordable child care to our community.
